Fang-Hui Wang

Wang Fang-Hui is a Chinese citizen. He is living in Paris for 22 years but sharing his time between China and France. After an MA in Chinese literature (University of Nanking -1986), he studied cinema and has been graduated by the prestigious Beijing Film Institute (1988). He also holds a postgraduate degree in Film, Television and Audio-Visual (University Paris I -1990).
Today he is a writer and a director and manages movie productions.
His film work is focused on China and its relations with Europe. He directed numerous documentaries and investigations on Chinese culture and immigration, we notice: "The French trap – Illegal Chinese immigrants in France" (60'Théopresse-TF1 « Le Droit de savoir. Selected for the 1999 Competition FIPA. Nominated for « Les Yeux d’or » 1999 – Creation Scam 1999) or "Yang-tzu, the dragon's Rage" (26 min, VM Production - ARTE). He is also writer of fiction for the Chinese television and author of "Be an overseas Chinese" (20 000 copies sold).
In 2006, he was executive producer of "Dreams behind a curtain of crystal" written by Chiung Yao and produced by Hunan TV (46 episodes of 60 'HD 16:9). In 2008 he has been line-producer of "I'm a Wenzhou" series of 30 episodes of 60 'HD 16:9 produced by Zhejiang Constant Film & TV. He is currently French line-producer in France for two TV series of 30 and 40 episodes, "Our French years" produced by Jiangsu TV, and "A Chinese History", co produced by Film and Television Group of Shandong Province and the Film and Television Group of Zhejiang Province.
