Patrick Frater CEO of Film Business Asia Patrick Frater has over 20 years experience writing about and analysing the international film industry, with publications including Screen International, The Hollywood Reporter and Variety, where he was its Asia editor. In 2010, and in partnership with regional expert Stephen Cremin, he founded Film Business Asia. It is a next-generation film trade publication -- less a magazine and more a market intelligence platform -- for and about the Asian film industry. The company operates a busy trade news and reviews service online and is this year launching a range of data services. In just over a year the company has published 1,500 stories and its weekly newsletter has just reached its millionth reader. Film Business Asia has also successfully branched into print, and publishes its first special edition in its home town of Hong Kong this week at FiILMART.
