Stefan Brodbeck was born in 1962 in Munich.
After studying product design and architecture in Kassel, he began his professional career in Vienna with architects Eichinger oder Knechtl. As an industrial designer he subsequently worked for firms such as the renowned frogdesign in Germany and later also in Palo Alto, USA.
In 1994 he set up his own design agency in Munich – brodbeck design.

brodbeck designs perceives itself as a marketing-oriented design company that takes a strategic approach. The nine-strong team consists of industrial designers, interior architects and model makers. Their common tenet: team-oriented work and open discussion – both internally and externally as well with customers and partners.

The design firm's areas of activity include product design, strategic design consultancy and conception, innovation workshops, graphic and interface design, shop, exhibition and trade fair design, plus – in cooperation with the GRP (Generation Research Programme, LMU Munich) – the development of products aimed at more than one generation. Stefan Brodbeck has shown himself to be an expert on this topic in numerous podium discussions and series of talks.
