Dr. Sherriff LUK is currently Associate Professor of Marketing at the Department of Management & Marketing and the Founder of the Asian Centre for Brand Management. His research interests include brand buying behavior, brand management and strategy, services marketing strategy and assessment of service quality and brand value, and managing marketing activities in China. One of his research projects is the perceived value of retail service which involves a semi-annual Customer Perceived Value (CPV) survey in which tourists and local residents are interviewed about their shopping experiences at Hong Kong retail establishments. Information from CPV is used to provide suggestions to local retailers for enhancing service standards and brand management; it also helps the Government and trade organizations develop better strategies for promoting Hong Kong’s image through improved retail service. He is currently working on the brand building path for SMEs and branding catering services, both are funded by the HKSAR government.
