Ms Cathy Jiang

Cathy is a M&A tax partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Hong Kong. She is also the tax in-charge partner of Southern China Domestic Initiative (DMI) team. She specialises in providing M&A tax due diligence, deal negotiation support, tax restructuring and post - deal integration services in China and Hong Kong. Cathy has advised on many M&A transactions including buy and sell side due diligence as well as structuring for acquisitions of various industries, such as transportation and logistics, software and e-commerce, infrastructure, manufacturing and financial institutions, etc. Cathy has accumulated extensive experience in the development and implementation of tax strategies for structuring acquisitions, restructuring and disposition of investments. Cathy provides on-going local tax advices to numerous clients, both multinational and China-based, from the investment regulations, foreign exchange as well as tax planning perspective. As the leader of the Southern China DMI tax team, she had been deeply involving in some major China IPO projects in various industries such as software and e-commerce, financial institutions, manufacturing and retail and wholesales, etc. Cathy holds MBA of South Colombia University and bachelor degree of Dongbei University of International Finance and Economy. She is the member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of China and the member of the Institute of Certified Public Taxation Accountants of China as well. She is also an editor committee member of the China Tax Intelligence (CCH) as well as a member of the Hong Kong Women Accounting General Chamber of Commerce. Cathy also contributes many tax papers to the journals of the professional institutions, newspapers and business journals. Cathy's connection with the Chinese government and understanding on China tax regulation contributes greatly in formulating sensible deal negotiations and post deal integration strategies.
