Dr. Lam graduated from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University , Hong Kong Shue Yan University ,University of South Australia and Bulacan State University with a Master Degree in Business Administration, Ph.D degree in Business Administration. . In addition, he is a Fellow member of Hong Kong Institute of Director , Professional Manger of Hong Kong Management Association. and tutor of the Trade and Industry Department, the Government of Hong Kong SAR.

From an early age, Dr. Lam has taken part in numerous voluntary services:
