Mr. Roa started his career in the U.S. first as foreign exchange consultant at International Financial Services, and then as senior financial analyst at Telekurs Financial.

He returned to Colombia from 2005 and assumed the post of Commercial Manager of Grupo Moda S.A. who led a team for marketing and international trade within the fashion industry in Cali during three years.

In 2008, being aware of the huge business opportunities in China, he decided to establish a consultancy company based in Shanghai, named Alianzas Estrategicas de Colombia (AECOL), specialized in advising Latin American companies in doing business with China.

Thanks to his vast experiences in the business sector and knowledge about China, he was appointed Commercial Director by PROEXPORT Colombia for its Commercial Office in China in June of this year.

Mr. Roa holds an international trade master degree from the University of Barcelona in Spain, and has studied international finance in the University of New York.
