Mr. Peter Lee
Founder and CEO, NOLGONG
Peter is a game designer, entrepreneur, and teacher. He was born in Korea and moved to New York when he was 19. In 1996, He started his career at TIME magazine as a new media designer, since than he has worked for various media companies in NYC until he found gameLab with Eric Zimmerman, a game development studio known for one of the most popular casual games of its time ‘Diner Dash’. He worked on games of all kind from online games to physical big games in various context. He co¬founded a big game festival ‘Come Out & Play’ in 2006 with Greg Trefry and three other game designers. He also helped started Institute of Play, a non¬profit company that designed a game like school Quest To Learn. He has moved back to Korea in 2009 and started a big game design studio Nolgong. Nolgong re¬imagine games, real world and digital technology to creates new forms of play for cultural and educational context. Inversion of Digital, a key concept for Peter and his team is utilizing digital technology to create most non¬digital¬human experience. He also teaches big game design at Sunkunkwan University and Seoul National University in Seoul, and runs big game workshop for teens to foster future generation of game designers who will change the world!
