With its exploding box office, mainland China Film market is about to become a key audience and revenue target for worldwide productions. Through corporate partnerships and financial coproductions, the film makers from all Asian Chinese speaking countries are getting closer for financing and distribution. In this new context, European film industry cannot ignore anymore this market and need to develop new ways of cooperation. Film coproduction between European and Chinese partners is an absolute necessity to ensure a better distribution and circulation of each other films between the two areas. Such a new kind of relations could be stimulated by regional and national public funding as well as coproduction treaties which have been or which will be signed between Chinese and European countries.

During this panel, the speakers will share their own coproduction experience, present new projects and explore future perspectives.
