A New Era for Asian Films: Co-production and Investment
The rapid economic growth puts China under world spotlight; the film market is no exception. The box office revenue of Chinese mainland rose tremendously from RMB 6.2 billion in 2009 to over RMB 10 billion in 2010. The enormous growth in box office led to the increasing capital investment and industry players from Asia entering in the Chinese mainland film market. Some of them have achieved great success by overcoming various challenges on film production, capital return, manpower management and government policy.
Speakers of the panel will share their experiences on investing in co-production films and examine the new era of Asian films.
