Ms. Yoko Takashima
Sales Chief, Nippon Television Network Corporation (NTV)

For the past 13 years, Yoko Takashima has worked in the international sales section for Nippon Television Network Corporation (NTV) in Tokyo, Japan. Yoko’s job in the international business section consists of selling formats, developing and pitching ideas for the international marketplace, formulating deals and finalizing agreements for European, Latin American and English speaking countries including the United States, Canada and United Kingdom. In 2002, Yoko began selling NTV’s original format, “Dragons’ Den,” internationally, and immediately after the introduction of Dragons’ Den to the international marketplace, Yoko has made a distribution deal with Sony Pictures Television (SPT). Through SPT, Dragons’ Den has been sold to more than 20 territories including the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States where the programme has been renamed, “Shark Tank,” currently airing the third season on ABC. Also, Yoko has also sold formats to networks and producers in the US, the UK and other European territories.

Other than the format sales which Yoko has been engaged in, Yoko has worked in a senior capacity on the coordination of international feeds to sports events, which NTV has served as a host broadcaster, including FIFA Club World Cup and FIVB World Grand Champions Cup Volleyball.

Yoko was selected as one of the 20 inaugural members of The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Generation International TV in 2009.
