Ms Shialey Tan

Shialey joined Channel News Asia in 2005 and was in charge of channel branding and promotions. She refreshed the branding and the look of the channel together with English and Pockett.

From 2006 - 2009, Shialey moved to distribution of HD documentaries produced by MediaCorp’s HD production unit, Caldecott Productions International. Clients included Arte France, France 5, Aljazeera Documentary Channel and NHK. During this period, Shialey was responsible for organizing The Asian Pitch together with NHK and KBS. The Asian Pitch is the result of a common vision between NHK, MediaCorp, and KBS to fund original HD documentaries produced by Asian docu-makers. Its mission is to uncover compelling human-interest stories that will make the world sit up and take notice, as well as discover new and hidden talent in Asia. 17 documentaries have been produced under this pitch till date.

From 2009 – 2010, Shialey moved to head the Sponsorship and Marketing division in MediaCorp’s live entertainment division, MediaCorp VizPro International. The shows include Barney Space Adventure, Fan Yang Gazillion Bubble Show, Pinocchio, Firehouse, The Rocky Horror Show, CSI : The Experience Exhibition and, Body Worlds Exhibition.

Currently, Shialey is in Content Innovation Production. She is the custodian of MediaCorp’s S$5 million Content Innovation Fund. This Fund serves to search for the best creative entertainment ideas and concepts across all its media platforms. This Fund provides seed money to support the initial development stages for the selected projects which could be for any of MediaCorp's range of media platforms spanning television, radio, print, movies and digital new media.
