Mr. Pierre Cheung
Vice President and General Manager, Greater China, BBC Worldwide

Pierre Cheung is based in BBC Worldwide's Hong Kong office where he manages its content distribution, local production, and brand development activities across Greater China. This involves programme distribution to all terrestrial and cable TV networks as well as digital platforms such as VOD services and IPTV. Pierre also looks after BBC Worldwide’s format and brand licensing in this territory.

An employee of BBC Worldwide for the past nine years, Pierre started his career with the company in 2001 as a North Asia Account Manager for BBC World in Hong Kong. His experience selling airtime and multimedia packages for the 24 hour BBC World News channel helped him secure his next post as Hong Kong and China Territory Manager in October 2003. Pierre has been employed by a number of other leading media businesses in Asia before moving to BBC Worldwide. He has worked in various managerial roles at Television Broadcast Limited (TVB), Chinadotcom Corporation and 24/7 Media Asia Ltd.

Pierre's extensive experience of Asian markets has provided him with invaluable insight into diverse markets such as the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, and particularly China, to name but a few.
