He is a highly recognized professional in film co-productions with over forty years of experience in co-productions with the Chinese mainland, Hongkong and Taiwan. Working closely with Chinese directors like Zhang Xinyan, Ang Lee, Zhang Yimou, Karwai Wong, Hsiao-Hsien Hou, Ann Hui ，Johnny To, Lok Man Leung and Kim-ching Luk, he contributed his part to well-acclaimed film projects as The Shaolin Temple, Lust Caution, The Grandmaster, Hero, The Story of Qiu Ju, Our Time Will Come, Cold War, Young Love Lost etc.
