Studied Journalism and a Master's in International Relations. A Career Diplomat, he has served as Director (Program) in representation of Chile in the APEC Secretariat, Singapore, as well as Director of the Chilean Trade Office at the Embassy of Chile in Beijing, and as Head of the Asia Pacific Department of the General Directorate for International Economic Relations, at the Chilean Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Has participated in the Free Trade Agreement negotiation process undertaken by Chile with Canada, the People's Republic of Chile, Malaysia, Viet Nam, Trans Pacific Partnership and Hong Kong, China, amongst others. Was a a member of the substantive agenda team during the APEC Chile 2004 Year. Leads the Chilean Consulate General in Hong Kong SAR and Macau SAR team of professionals since november 2010.
