Speaker Mr. Alex Li received a scholarship from the University of Hawaii where he earned a Bachelor Degree in Communication with an emphasis in Film Production in 1990. Mr. Li started his film and television career as a live action cinematographer and editor on numerous projects in The US. His work has earned him awards at film festivals and garnered recognition in the public and academic communities. Translating his traditional film making discipline and experience to the realm of animated feature films, Alex Li began his animation career in Chicago and he is currently based in New York working as a Senior Camera & Staging Artist for Blue Sky Studios/20th Century Fox Film. Mr. Li's credits include international hits, the "Ice Age" franchise, "Robots", "Dr. Seuss's Horton Hears a Who", the "Rio" franchise and "Epic". He also contributed to a number of animated short films that won the Annie Award and received the Academy Award Nomination. Complimenting his film career, Mr. Li also participates in the academia as a visiting lecturer.
