King Leung

King Leung is a leading practitioner in Big Data, CRM and Loyalty Marketing in Hong Kong and China.

In 2002, King raised seed capital from Credit Suisse to found Datrix, a Big Data/CRM startup in Hong Kong – which then initiated an M&A with Datatrade, a direct marketing leader established in 1983, the following year. Over the next decade, under his leadership, King guided Datatrade and CLiX to win multiple industry awards, including CRM & Loyalty Agency of the Year and Best CRM Program awards, expanded to China and the Philippines, joined a 35-country strong international CRM agency network, started a separate Gateway to Asia business (that helps overseas companies enter Asian market), etc.

King serves in leadership positions at several marketing and technology associations – Marketing Society Asia, [Digital + Direct] Marketing Association Asia, Asia America Multi-technology Association, Young Entrepreneurs Development Council, etc. and is a frequent speaker and moderator on Big Data, CRM, innovation, entrepreneurship at media (Pearl, RTHK, TDC, etc.), universities, business conferences and seminars.

King was a management consultant in strategy, operation and information technology with Booz Allen Hamilton and KPMG Consulting in USA and UK. King was also in technology investment as a venture capitalist at Innovate@ (a technology fund co-managed by Booz Allen Hamilton & Lehman Brothers in USA.)

King Leung holds an MBA (Hons) in Finance and Strategy from University of Chicago, and BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from University of Wisconsin – Madison.
