HKPC significantly created tremendous industry awareness and understanding on industry 4.0 since launched in 2015. Lyan committed to promote and develop the holistic strategic roadmap and landscape towards Industry 4.0 for Hong Kong Industry. Lyan lead an i4.0 team providing industry 4.0 training, assessment, advisory service, pilot project implementation and recognition programme to Hong Kong industry. He is Hong Kong well-known company's i4.0 advisor to deploy i4.0 in different industry using sector-specific approach.

His team inaugurated a “Smart Industry One (SIO)” in Hong Kong for industry reference on 24 August, 2017, first Industry 4.0 Demonstration Center in Hong Kong demonstrating the concept of Industry 4.0. The jointly set up of the Invention Centre (The Hatch) in Hong Kong to accelerate the adoption of innovative industrial technology and promote digital manufacturing development. The Invention Centre in Germany was initiated by the Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology (Fraunhofer IPT), KEX Knowledge Exchange AG (KEX) and RWTH Aachen Campus to drive world class innovation.
