Gitte Just CEO, Danish Design Association (DDA) Gitte Just has been in charge of building the DDA from scratch since its establishment by a group of design companies in 2008; and she is currently overseeing its continuous development as a vehicle to support the development, professionalisation and internationalisation of the design business in Denmark. The DDA now represents the interests of more than 100 companies by continuously ensuring that design is part of the political agenda. Its mission is to create a single network that gathers together all the companies working within design and design management. Just also promotes the importance and impact of design, and she has created a strong network between the industry, business community and design schools. Among her other accomplishments, Gitte Just has initiated Copenhagen Co-Creation, a knowledge-sharing network which aims to address business issues of significant global interest by developing new practices in co-creation and design. She is a member of the board of ICOGRADA and the Danish Design and Architecture Consortium, as well as the Danish Government’s advisory board on design and the INDEX: advisory board. In addition, she is the chairman of the recruitment panel at the University of Southern Denmark.
