Mr. Peter Lam

Peter is one of the most popular radio hosts and media personalities in Hong Kong. He has a wealth of over 40 years diversified experiences in the entertainment industry, which cover programme production, acquisition and distribution for local TV stations, production companies and motion picture organizations. As a media expert, Peter has co-hosted the prime-time weekly public affairs programme, “Headliners”「頭條新聞」produced by the Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK). Until September 2004, he had been a co-host of Hong Kong’s most popular talk show “Tea Cup in the Storm”「風波裡的茶杯」 produced by the Commercial Radio Channel 1. Peter started his career as a journalist in Hong Kong Standard in 1973. Since then he has worked in media organizations including Ming Pao Evening News, Television Broadcast Ltd, Hutchison Cable Vision, Rediffusion Television, RTHK and Commercial Radio in the capacities as their Public Relations Manager, programme host and executive in charge of programming research & production of magazine programmes. In 1976, when Peter was head of the research section of Enjoy Yourself Tonight, he was responsible to devise content/ format promoting all major Government campaigns within that programme. In the early 90's, he was also appointed as a member of the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education for six years and as a member of the PR and Research Sub-committee and Vetting Committee for the Service Support Fund coordinated by the Trade and Industry Department. Peter was a founding director of the Motion Picture Industry Association (MPIA) and has been an active member since its inceptions. He has also been one of the founding members of the Children's Cancer Foundation. Currently, he is a spokesman for the film related issues and an advocate for the protection of intellectual property for the MPIA.
