Ian Hau Founder and Director, XLMS Limited Australian Chinese Architect Ian Hau is the Founder & Director of XLMS. Ian has been based in Hong Kong for the past 10 years. He has been responsible for the instigating design concepts and leading multidisciplinary teams across significant redevelopment projects. Since 1998 has add value to both public and private sector projects located in Australia, the Middle East and South-East Asia. His professional experience includes leadership positions for several globally recognized consultancies and representing government entities, who are at the forefront of changing how cities are designed. He is specialist in developing development frameworks, transport oriented mixed-use development and design of new knowledge based communities. As an qualified architect and active urban design practitioner is also involved in professional development and education. Ian served as a founding and council member of the Hong Kong Institute of Urban Design and as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Architecture at Hong Kong University.
