Speaker's Profile:
Dylan Leung, started his first job as a part-time barista at his sixteen. He worked after school and until midnight. He always believed that coffee shop is a wonderful place for people to stay and communicate. In the six-year work in the coffee shop, he acted as different roles like waiter, barista and store manager, under the recognition of his former boss, who give him much advice on the life direction and career development. In 2008, Dylan was graduated from the school and he started his first business, 【b420】, a 20-seated cafe, providing food and drinks. That year, Dylan was 22 years old. 2 years later, he started another brand 【Hidden Garden 1981 Cafe】, which increased the capacity to 100 seats! Until 2012, 【The Alchemist Cafe Bistro】was founded as the first cafe bistro in Hong Kong with the concept of “Travel Culture”. His team organizes different events to promote art and culture, and collaborate with welfare groups to provide different trainings and talks for the youngsters. The brand is expanded rapidly in the following 2 years and now there are totally 4 stores under the brand, and 1 is located in Shanghai. The staff number is increased from 6 to 150, and media coverage accumulated more than 150 all over Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taiwan and even Japan. Dylan is absorbed in developing The Alchemist and wish one day, this local brand in Hong Kong which founded by the grassroots, can strive for a success.
