Speaker's Profile:
John Lo is a California and Hong qualified lawyer, and a partner at CWL Partners, in association with Nixon Peabody and Hylands Law Firm. In addition to practicing law, he has been an angel investor since the late 1990s, and also advisor to many startups. He is a co-author of the book "Angel Financing – Principles and Practice for Investors and Entrepreneurs" (in Chinese) published by Hong Kong Economic Daily in 2009. Among other positions, he is a Director of AAMA-Pearl River Delta chapter (http://www.aamaprd.com/), and Honorary Legal Counsel of the Hong Kong Business Angel Network (http://www.hkban.org/). He has extensively lectured on startup and angel financing topics at such venues as Startup HK, HKUST, the Hong Kong Science Park, the Hong Kong Cyberport, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He holds JD and MBA degrees from the University of California, Berkeley.
