Johan Persson Founder & Creative Director, C’monde Studios Limited Johan Persson (1971), a Swedish native with a 20-year track record of brand and design management from Europe, US and Hong Kong. He is often named as among Hong Kong’s top 10 product designers. After a decade of agency employment in Stockholm, in 2009 Johan founded C'monde Studios in Hong Kong, the doorstep to the world’s factory – Shenzhen, China. The studio has in recent years often been named among the top in Hong Kong and continues to grow its reputation abroad. Johan and C’monde Studios served an array of top-tier multinational clients such as Karim Rashid, Sony Ericsson, Jabra, Miele and WeSC, to name a few. Through a consistent design delivery, Johan has developed an award-winning formula and a reputation of having strong, refined, elegant and iconic aesthetics. He is equipped with in-depth market understanding and the ability to take advanced design concepts into production and onto the market. Johan was recognised by ID Magazine (US) and featured on its ID 40 List. He was featured on the cover of ScandAsia magazine and in an addition of the book “Design Now” by Taschen. He won the Perspective Award (Top 40 designers under 40 years old in the Greater China Region), was a Braun Prize Finalist, and received Young Talent Award (Ung Svensk Form) for consecutive years. In recognition of his expertise, Johan is regularly invited to speak at design and branding symposiums and conferences held in China. He was also appointed as adjudicator for industrial design awards in China. Eager to share his knowledge and help others in their professional endeavors, Johan lectured at leading design institutions, both in Sweden at Konstfack and the School of Design of Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
